Living Hope for Children

Living Hope for Children is a joint venture of Living Hope Church and ONLY GOD International. This life-saving ministry is aimed at establishing and operating orphanages in the most deprived areas of the world.

Currently, there are over 160 orphans housed in a small, inadequate rented facility with very little room. The director of this facility, Dr. Kumar - a Christian pastor and medical doctor - serves the needs of the children who otherwise could never receive life-saving medical treatments.

Dr. Kumar has networked with several other pastors in the District of Central India and has also written an AIDS prevention booklet which is utilized by the government of India and is also translated into 33 languages throughout the world. Because of the AIDS crisis, relatives of deceased family members can barely feed their own children and are unable to assume responsibility for an additional child.   These children are dropped at the doorsteps of many Christian churches with nothing except the clothes they are wearing.  Anywhere from 15-50 orphans live at each church.  They often go home with church members for a meal and come back to sleep on the dirt floors with little to keep them comfortable.

 The very grateful Dr. Kumar has been working with members of Living Hope for the past two years, organizing events such as baptisms and crusades, where people have the opportunity to convert from Buddhism or Hindu into Christianity.  Just after Easter of this year, Pastor John Bishop spoke via cell phone with Dr. K (and through interpretation) to over 2,600 people.  Over 450 people stood to receive Christ when the opportunity was presented!  Recently, Pastor Bruce Avery also spoke to 1,200 people via phone and another 79 people accepted Christ as their savior.  Dr. Kumar and his staff are continuing to work with the people of India Living Hope Church to provide the truth of Christian values and to help equip children in the orphanages with life skills which will allow them to become leaders of their generation.

Living Hope for Children is committed to show Jesus’ love by giving these children hope of a new life.  For $30 each month each of us can provide a child with food, clothing, shelter, medical care and an education. We are asking for you to pray about being a part of this ministry and to adopt one or more children.  You can make a huge difference and literally save their lives.

Since this ministry is directly operated through Living Hope Church and ONLY GOD International, every dollar will go directly to the needs of the children.   We currently have interpreters that work with ONLY GOD International to send updates and letters from the children to their adoptive families.
